Three Muses Challenge - Fashion

We all think, at some time, that we have nothing to wear.  Well, Muriel really didn't have anything to wear.  I had some fun with dressing a lady who was (ahem) au naturel.  I added some sliced up pieces of netting from Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics.  The background and elements are from Creativewing Designs.

  1. Yay, I'm the first! This is super, Marie. Made me really laugh out loud! It reminded me of the old Carol Burnett show where they did a Gone with the Wind skit and she pulled the curtains from the window and wore them, curtain rod and all. You have a great sense of humor!

  9. This is fab! I love how you did this entire piece. The first thing I ever sewed when I was a child was a dress made from my mothers curtain panel. So this piece spoke to me!
    Well done!

It almost looks if you were standing beside her to take her measures.

  17. Oh Muriel - I think you should draw a line under this outfit! (very poor pun about curtains hidden in there, but you may not have spotted it!!).
Happy Australia Day. We have an Aussie colleague, so today we have all stood for your national anthem and then sung Waltzing Matilda, as well as spoken in Australian accents for as long as we could be bothered! Enjoy your day sport.

  18. I think Muriel just wanted to dress up for Australia Day in the most outrageously risque outfit she could find .... and it worked such luscious creamy cream curtains and hearts and flowers to match. Happy Australia Day Marie.
