Take a Word #12 - Butterflies

When I saw the image (from e-Vint collages), I noticed the painfully sad expression and the little "feelers" on her head and decided she just had to be my poor butterfly.  For all those too young to remember, "Poor Butterfly" is a very old song.  I was lucky enough to find the poster for a musical of the same name on Google - and also the wings.  The image has been coloured.

    Stunning, the clour is fanatstic and I love how her head dress matches her wings and is butterfly shaped in itself.

    I don't know the song Marie (though certainly not because I am not old enough) but your interpretation says it all. The butterfly girl, the composition and the colour palette make your piece sublime.

    How gorgeous, Marie! Your coloring is nothing short of fantastic. I'm older than you and I don't remember that song. I remember one called Poor Little Buttercup, which I think might be unPC today.
