Take a Word #14 - Vintage

This is my favourite vintage photo - my mother at age 12 with her dog, Major.  I have given her a new background (paper and frame by Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics).  I wasn't much older than she was in this picture when she died so I didn't know her for very long.

    I just love this...it has such depth to it, and your mom has such a sweet expression! Major looks like he was an awesome dog! What a beautiful tribute to your mom!

    What a wonderful photo of your mom. Sorry to hear you lost her so young. I am having a great evening seeing everyone's "vintage" and getting to know folks a little more. So many of us seemed to have ued old photos. Special, indeed.

    I do so love seeing family photos used in this way. It is wonderful to give them new life outside of dusty old albums and cardboard boxes. We can celebrate them and the lives they represent in wonderful creative ways. You have captured her memory beautifully.

    This is so lovely! It totally looks three dimensional. But I am sure it is digital? O.k. maybe I am not sure! I love the entire piece. It feels really good to look at.
    I am so sorry you did not get to know your mother. She looks so adorable in the photo, and her dog is bigger than she is! I can understand why this is your favorite vintage photo.
