It's time for a new challenge!! My collage includes two Flickr free-to-use images (head and body) originally black and white, coloured and altered. Background pieces from Createwing Designs and brushes from Vera Lim.
What a beautiful inspirational piece for your new challenge. It's still Halloween in my world, and the little trick-or-treaters are just venturing out to collect their goodies!
Wonderful inspirational piece Marie, but then I never expected anything else. I'm looking forward to taking part in this challenge. Your time pieces are fantastic and the whole composition is brilliant.
Perfect outfit for those hot & sunny Perth days!!! Spectacular start for your new challenge, Marie! (Thanks for 'explaining' the 'expectant' one, it had me worried LOL!)
Marie, what a fabulous creation for your new challenge blog. Your artwork is always superb!!! Although I've been short on time this week, I had to stop by to wish you well!!!! Hugs, Terri xoxox
Thanks for the wonderful challenge Marie!! And what an awesome piece of art you've created, WOW!!! Love the layers and all the exquisite (is that how you spell it?) details to look at!! This definately needs to be enlarged to be fully enjoyed and appreciated!! Wonderful, wonderful work and right up there at the top of my list of favourite Marie creations :) Have a wonderful and creative week dear friend!!
Thanks for starting this new challenge, Marie. Your piece is delightful - I love the different time pieces and she looks like she's really enjoying herself!
This is such a wonderful creation Marie...I love how you sneak in all these tiny little details...it's like they say "God is in the details"...Awesome job! It's great to have a spin off of my favorite challenge...you have a fan for life.
Well, Marie, I really goofed...and being really tired, I looked at your piece and thought - oh, same word! Of course it's the same word! Oh my...I really have no business being up this late and it's quite apparent! But no apologies for my comment because your piece is really wonderful, a visual delight - as always! LynnF
Marie thanks for your nice comment on my work, your piece such a wonderful creation, all the different parts are so perfect together, love your work. Anni
Hello Marie, thanks for your friendly comments on my blog. I was not able to participate in TAKE A WORD this week but will in the future. I love the concept and your debut piece is gorgeous! I just took a workshop this weekend (see latest post on Collagitation) that combined lettering and collage, so the timing is perfect. As an avid reader and a calligrapher, words are letters are very close to my heart.
"Small world" as they say, that's very interesting that your daughter in law is from PA! I envy them, living in London, WOW! I visited London several times while living in Germany in the '90s. During that time, my daughter was living in Japan. We returned to the US about the same time, c 2000, she with a new Japanese husband and me without the American military husband who took me to Europe! Are you a native Aussie? I've known several and they all swear it's God's own country down there! Take care, "talk" to you again soon!
I have done my collage for Take a Word, but I can't live comments there, on the challenge blog Take a Word because there is no place in list ( Name/URL)!
