Happy St Valentine's Day to all our blogger friends!
Sorry! It's not really ME to post a sentimental piece for Valentine's Day so I decided to include this one which suits me to a tee.
To be honest, I was expecting a real 'bah humbug' piece from you, Marie, Such a gorgeous romantic piece!
ReplyDelete(re: my macabre piece - did you spot man in egg?)
Imagine.... love is coming...
ReplyDeleteOne day ....
A very beautiful creation Marie, love her face expression between hope and despair.
Merci
Pat
Imagine is the optimum word here I believe...She is just gorgeous Marie such a beautiful creation...and such a look of longing...I hope she's not holding her breath waiting for romance.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous, Marie. Your coloring is awesome and I love the Punchinella in the background of the arch. Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is very 'noice' Marie....very subtle but wiht a lot of sentiment...love it!
ReplyDeleteMarie, this piece is gorgeous!!! What a beautiful job you've done of coloring that lovely face. Happy Valentines Day to you!!! Hugs, Terri xoxo
ReplyDeleteBrilliant coloration on this, Marie. The stark white of the bird is a perfect touch as well. Beautiful, simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and layers. Beautiful
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Very beautiful. I also love the colors!
ReplyDeleteMarie, this is so elegant! I love the bubbly things and the swirly bird. The gothic arch is wonderful. And your coloring is superb.
ReplyDeleteShe is very romantic- that frame around her works perfectly. The bird image is a nice compliment!
ReplyDeleteFantastic Marie!!
ReplyDeleteMoaner Lisa? I LOVE THIS!! Your first piece is truly beautiful too, Marie!
ReplyDelete2 different but two wondeful pieces. The second one makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteof course the upper one is *beautiful*, but i too like the cynical much better!!;)
ReplyDeleteWhwn I saw the first piece I was just a little surprised, (hey I think I know you by now) it is gorgeous though, I love the background particularly. The second piece gave me a great old chuckle (I remember you did another piece on the moaner/lisa theme once I think), it's pure Marie and made my day!
ReplyDeleteMarie, you never cease to surprise me! Just as I had been admiring your beautiful collage (#1) (I love the colours and the arch form) I scrolled down and saw your piece #2 - and I burst out to laugh, this is so funny and so much you! I love this!
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Marie, NOW that is YOU!!! I'm still giggling, those faces - priceless!
ReplyDeleteAs you say 'standing ovation' from me!!
What a surprise Marie, your first picture is gorgeous! But the second one is just you! Hilarious!
ReplyDeleteHugs xx
First, a really romantic piece and then...Moaner and Lisa! What a riot!
ReplyDeleteGood grief! Only today did I scan down to see the second piece! You are the queen of acerb! This is hysterical!
ReplyDeleteHello Marie ! Excellent votre collage! je ne suis pas non plus une adepte de ce genre de fête mais avec de l'humour ça passe très bien ! bravo ! amitiés Mary.KG!
ReplyDeleteBy the comments, I can see you post the second piece some time after the first one... By the reactions, it's clear that our friends long for your humor not for romance :D The first one is so gorgeous, though waiting sadly for someone who, clearly, is not coming it's not my idea of romance :) The 2nd is you in your best. Bravo!
ReplyDeleteMarie, your first piece is beautifully coloured and I am in awe, as always, at how you manage to achieve such a seamless job. The colouring on her face is exquisite.
ReplyDeleteYour second piece is a wonderful 'thumbing the nose' at the whole idea of valentines and romance. Pure joy my friend.
Here's to a happy valentines day - no moaning allowed. Both great pieces-xo teri
ReplyDeleteI love this image, you perfected it!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, knowing you as I do (for Fairy Godmothers know everything!), I was somewhat surprised by the first picture! Then, you did not disappoint me - for we can't all be soppy romantics or the world would be awash with rose petals and everyone would get fat on chocolate!
ReplyDeleteWhat a contrast! Both are wonderful work, but the second will keep me laughing for a while, Marie.
ReplyDeleteHi,
ReplyDeleteFirst,,thank you for your comments on my blog. Secondly love your work, I just do not seem to be able to produce this type of image and wondered if it is the program (Elements 9) of just do not have the know how or clip art so to speak. Let me know some of your secrets.
Cheers
Hands down the couple is my favorite! Seeing them made me laugh out loud :D
ReplyDeletePaulette
What a romantic picture. OOhh.. there are so meny pictures, I like them all, they are so beautiful and funny.
ReplyDeleteWell this is looking at romance from different sides and I love them both- beautiful and so creative Marie. Love is blind but you should keep your eyes open!
ReplyDeleteOh Marie both your pieces are fantastic, since Valentine's day is not something that we celebrated in Denmark, I prefer your second version because it made me smile, thanks for your nice comment on my blog.
ReplyDeleteAnni
