I got a bit carried away with bright colours! Everything in this postcard sized piece is by me, except for the Suzee Que face (at Flickr) which has been greatly altered.
The words are from the song "It's a Wonderful World" most famously sung by Louis Armstrong.
She's delightfully bright and colorful, Marie. Luscious colors! Beautiful work, my friend.

She looks just about perfect to me! As a matter of fact, where can I get those tights?
ReplyDeleteI think this one is about my most favorite of all you've done ~ I love the song, the words, but most of all how you portrayed them and put them all together in a beautiful piece! Lovely! Wishing you many blessings, Katie
ReplyDeleteAwesome work, Marie! Your niece is a very lucky young woman! And obviously bound for glory, having been schooled in the classic myths. We are all babes in Hera's arms, whether we know it or not. Talk about time standing still! Hera, Venus, that whole crew will still be around long after the rest of us become "another brick in the wall" of anonymous ancestors. Which is a marvelous place to hang out for eternity! Thanks for your thought-provoking post!
ReplyDeleteGreat piece!
ReplyDeleteWow, this is fabulous!! I love that Louis Armstrong rendition of It's a Wonderful World and your art piece is a great tribute to the words. Cheers!!
