Mixed Media Monday - Least favourite colour - ORANGE
I am a not a fan of ORANGE. I started with a profile of a face (from Flickr free to use images) and painted the dress on to it. The background and flowers are by Lorie Davison SBG. Strangely enough, I am happy with the result!
Well, it's no wonder you're pleased; she just glows! The gold and green combined with the shades of orange are very beautiful, as are all the details, Marie.
You are SO darned good at wardrobe! This turned out to be a beautiful piece. ....and is it any wonder we chose the exact same word? How does that come to pass??!!
Marie, I haven't entered this challenge (still resting up from Christmas), but this is one gorgeous piece. I actually like some orange shades. This is fantastic and I just love the vibrancy. I sure don't know how to "paint" with Photoshop, but you seem to be an expert. Really beautiful.
Oooh, Marie - how could you NOT be happy with this creation. It's stunning! I'm glad you liked the end result! Ouch, the weather over in WA sounds horrific - we've had a lovely break from the heat but it looks like it's heading this way again, grrr!!!! Keep cool! Diane
I cannot imagine anyone not loving this card and this color...it is stunning. I am beginning to think I am weird..each image I see is awesome. I really don't know a color I don't like...to be honest, and there are so many shades of each that there is bound to be one to like. Your card is truly beautifful in every way. Hugs, Gayle.
A message from your model: "You may be happy with the result, but did you ever stop to think about me? How do you think I feel going out to all my parties dressed in ORANGE? It's so last season...." Seriously though, great pic and it gave me a comedy moment which can't be bad!
She looks like one giant Gerbera Marie, was my first thought, as I reached for my sunglasses! Tell you what thopugh, you have every right to be pleased with the end result, because it's stunning! Isn't it funny how both you and Bev used the word "Imagine"??? 'o)
Your orange is Fantastic...I'm not a fan of it either, but you have made me a fan with this lovely piece of art...Great Job!! Have an amazing New Year filled with love, laughter, good health & happiness! Hugs, Susie
