I may have my nursery rhyme wires crossed here. This rhyme is purportedly about Queen Elizabeth the first who, as we know, was prone to over-dressing. I think the Googled picture of lady upon a white horse is Lady Godiva. I added a filmy blue wrap for modesty!
Background is by Lorie Davison and scroll by Irene Alexeeva.
I love this - gorgeous image ( and a non-violent nursery rhyme!) and we'll say it is the Queen in her wildest dreams! Beautiful work!
ReplyDeleteMarie, your fine lady upon her steed is wonderful and so very romantic! Lovely interpretation, beautifully executed. Hugs, Terri xoxo

Ah that makes sense, so it was Queen Elizabeth I who was the lady in the rhyme. I would say using an image of Lady Godiva is acceptable for the purposes of your art. However, hold on to your head my friend, Her Majesty might not have been so keen!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant art as always Marie.
This is a beautiful piece, Marie!
