I couldn't resist showing this contrast between "surreals" - one a fine feathered female and the other a Miss Plane Jane in vintage style.
In the first picture , I used a background and feathers (cut and pasted) by Creative Wing Designs, image is a Kubivet freebie, man a Flickr free image and background paper used to build birdhouse by Irene Alexeeva.
In the second, a much simpler list of credits. Image by Outsider-Artists, typewriter keys by Carla Gibson. Background and umbrella Googled.

ReplyDeleteTwo 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' masterpieces, Marie!!
Had to say 'Mary Drop-in' a few times before it registered!!! DUH!
This was a great challenge, thanks Marie!
Apologies for the 'egsmshi', that was the word verification!!
ReplyDeleteThese are brilliant Marie- you really captured the style gloriously- this was quite a challenge- really made me think and explore!
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful! I love the "Mary Drop-In" play on words! You might see an entry from me if I can get away from working so much! ~Lori
ReplyDeleteWow Marie your digital work is outstanding.
ReplyDeleteWonderful elements and design. Love them.
I love the style surreal, but I feel I have never been able to accomplish the art. Your art is amazing. I love to makeup a story about the image. Fun had by all! Big Hug!
ReplyDeleteLike the really focused lighting effect you've got in the first highlighting the bird-housed Fashionista...but it's the 2d that gave me a chuckle, and a second take...nice tongue-firmly-in-cheek acknowledgement to Magritte as well in this!
ReplyDeleteYour talent is a wondrous thing, Marie. These are both exceptional!
ReplyDeleteOh, what a chic chick! ;)
