Thanks for the great challenge. My picture is a tribute to the "empty nesters" who suddenly find themselves alone after their children have gone. The image is from a Flickr Free image website (submitted by Suzee Que), the nest is by Sausan, the wings by Kubivet and the background by Create Wings Designs.
This is a lovely image, I Especially like the writing. My youngest is leaving this fall and I am freaking out about how quiet it will be in the house.

Marie, your fairy is so elegant! I'm an empty nester, but I've had a few years to get used to it now. This is a lovely piece, and I love the little verse you chose to go with it. ~Lori

ReplyDeleteMarie, this is elegant and so clever to use as your entry to "nests". Very lovely and beautifully put together. I wish there was something wonderful to say about the empty nest syndrome, but I really had a very hard time with it myself, many years ago. But life does go on. Sometimes, but not in my case, the birdies don't fly too far away and keep close in touch.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous postcard!!! I love the female image and the wings.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!! My children are still at home so don't know the empty nest feeling but can imagine it will not be easy.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
