The Three Muses Challenge - Backgrounds with Texts

This week at the Muses the theme is "backgrounds with Texts".  I love using texts in my artwork. The image was a pen and ink, black and white drawing from Graphics Fairy.  I have coloured it with digital water colours and added a flourish or two.  The background is a scanned page from an old dictionary of mine.  I have re-arranged the columns for more interest.

    Oh my, this is lovely, Marie. Great idea to rearrange the dictionary page in the background! The delicate tinting of her face and blue highlights are scrumptious!
