Art (or what passes for art) is my escape from the drudgery of everyday life and I can lock myself away and enter a different world. I can look like a bag lady or perhaps I could (like the lady above) dress in polka dot stockings and very fetching chemise. All this without leaving home!!
The altered Mona Lisa was painted by me for an earlier challenge. The lady artiste with brush was originally a sepia image from e-vint.com but I have overpainted her in ArtRage. The floor and background are by Irene Alexeeva and the paint can and tubes and easel were Googled.
Your scantily clad artiste is wielding a mighty brush, Marie! This is great fun, and amazingly clever...but then that's what we've come to expect from you! BRAVO!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun collage! I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those hose, of course, but I love the idea of painting in whatever inspires you the most. Wearing nothing would probably be best, because think of how easy the cleanup would be!
ReplyDeleteThis a wonderful and whimsical and funny piece of ART!

Running away... finding ourselves.... losing ourselves.... it's a wonder we know whether we're coming or going. But then again, isn't that the appeal of being an artist!
