For me, 'tis the season to be hot and bothered!! It's summertime in Australia and in my part of the it we can expect endless heatwaves. The background photo is my own. I live within walking distance of the beach and one of the advantages of living close to the sea is the occasional sea breeze which cools things down for a while. The bathing beauty was Googled. Christmas greetings!!
Good morning neighbor....yes it is our hot time of the year in Australia and here in QLD it can get so very humid.
ReplyDeleteLove you beautiful beach scene and the orange and yellow such beautiful summer colours and great contrast with the sea and sand. !!!
Wouldn't mind at least a little bit of hot and bovvered and a Christmas on a Perth beach.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving how you have feathered the edges of this lovely piece, Marie.
Beautiful image Marie, reminds me of the summer days we spent at the beach, but the Murray is our bit of water. Had our first brown snake kill this weekend, so we are trying out the snake repellers, I would hate to loose my cat. Thanks for the challenge. Cheers
ReplyDeleteThis is a lovely beach scene, Marie. I remember the first Christmas I spent in Florida we went to the beach and I thought it was the neatest experience. By my fourth year, I was longing for snow! However, about February, when the gray days of winter are overlong, a day at the beach seems quite the wonderful thing to do!!
ReplyDeleteI would love it to experience once a warm christmas with a barbeque at the beach Marie but I think it will never happen in my life.
ReplyDeleteOverhere in Holland I'm glad that it still doesn't snow !! Last year the whole month of december everything was covered with snow and I cross my fingers it wíll not happen again !
Nice to see your own background image. On this manner I get an impression how it is by you.
Very enjoyable Marie !!
Wonderful image you have chosen for this piece!
ReplyDeleteWell this does it Marie I'll be packing up my family and we'll be spending Christmas with you this year...just until New Year...lol.

.....and I thought the 'bathing beauty' might have been you, Marie, now I see it was Googled!
ReplyDeleteLucky you to live within walking distance of the beach coupled with your image, this is a stunner!
How I wish it was summer here! Oh wait. You'll see that wish in my picture. Love your beach!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to live within walking distance of that fantastic beach Marie! I think I would go every day just to paddle my feet or even swim.
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous picture. xx
Fantastic summerfeeling and so different to the rainy days here in Germany. Would love spending these day at the beach.
