Sunday Postcard Art - Gnomes

This is a true story.  Everyone has heard of Nome, Alaska, but has anyone heard of GNOME, Alaska?  Gnome is the heartland of Gnomerie.  The largest collection of gnomes in one place live in Gnome.  In fact, Gnome is the absolute centre of the Gnome universe.  We mere mortals suffer from homesickness when away from family and friends.  Gnomes suffer from GNOMESICKNESS.  Need I go on.  Let's hear it for the Gnomes.
My gnome was formerly of the garden variety but I have altered him somewhat.  He came to me through the Land of Google.  Other bits and pieces are from Dawn Inskip.

Three Muses Challenge - Whimsical, Quirky, Humorous!

Anyone who knows me will recognize the fish!  Yes, it is my original metallic painted green fish which has been hued and saturated in spite of his protestations.  The background and young lady's costume painted by me.  Bubbles come from computer software and the image is by Kubivet (altered).

Thanks to Bev for a great challenge.  I painted this digitally using the ArtRage software program.  As you can see, it is possible to achieve a textured look using thick oil brushes and palette knife.

The Three Muses Challenge - The Written Word

As you can see, we have all been working out and I think we are in fine form, wearing our body-hugging, all-in-on jumpsuits!!  We had to look good for the anniversary!
The lovely ladies are from an E-Vint collage collection, the background is by Irene Alexeeva and the newspaper clipping was created using a freebie newspaper headline generator.
IF YOU CAN'T READ THE NEWSPAPER STORY, CHECK OUT THE MUSES' WEBPAGE WHERE IT IS PRINTED IN FULL.
