Sunday Postcard - Steam Punk

The Grand Duchess, Davida du Chovny, was a modern woman for her times. She believed in the Industrial Revolution and, in a thoroughly modern way, became the poster girl for progress.
I had fun with steam punking the Duchess, especially finding a new use for hot hair balloons which here serve as the top of her gown and disguise her flat-chestedness. I found my bits and pieces for this picture from Maya at Scrapbookgraphics, Lauren Bavin at Digital Scrapbook Place and SherrieJD at Scrapartist. The beautiful image is a freebie from the lovely Ms Terri Kahrs at Pringle Hill Studios (thanks, Terri).

Thanks also to the ladies at Sunday Postcards for another great challenge.

Chaque élément a trouvé sa place de façon naturelle,c'est vraiment une composition très inattendue mais qui illustre bien la modernté de cette femme en son temps!
