Congratulations to the lovely ladies at Art Creations Friday on the first anniversary of their wonderful challenge.
I have used the image to wish all our American friends a happy Thanksgiving this month.
The face is from ACF, the costume painted by me, the turkeys and turkey dinner are Flickr-free-to-use images. The window is by JenU designs.
The lady is looking sad because, like me, she is a vegetarian.
Wow this is wonderful.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the holiday wishes, Marie! I'm glad at least two of the flock escaped with their feathers intact! LOL! Hugs, Terri xoxo

What a wonderful piece, Marie! So thoughtful of you to provide a special Thanksgiving treat for us here in the USA. I am amazed by your creativity. I can't imagine how you were able to put that sweet little face on your new body. I have much to learn.
ReplyDeleteYour "manufactured" people always leave me "gobsmacked" (as they say in Oz). This is superb, Marie, not to mention timely. Her dress is just splendidly done! APPLAUSE
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, how creative and how beautiful. What a great idea.

This is so clever, topical, and funny Marie. I suppose the turkeys don't look too happy either but how can you tell?

ReplyDeleteWell, Marie...you always come up with something I would never have thought of! This is great! I hope that poor, dear lady didn't have to "off" that turkey herself! I look forward to celebrating my non-vegetarianism this Thanksgiving! Have a very Happy Thanksgiving, even sans the turkey! ~Lori
ReplyDeleteA great idea for sure. Fabulous job.
ReplyDeleteHaha, your last sentence really made me laugh, i just love it when you put *fun* into your pieces of art :D Well done on a beautiful piece !
ReplyDeleteOh she does look sad, but I'm not so sure it's because she's a vegetarian, more likely she still has those other two turkeys to cook. Hee hee. Love it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, tender and so original Marie!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThis piece was a great idea Marie, and it looks fantastic!
