Thanks for the great challenge, Bev, at THE THREE MUSES. I went vintage for this one. Image (altered) is from Art-e-zine and all other bits and pieces are from Maya at Scrapbookgraphics.
I "almost" used this exact theme, but I don't think I'd have done as good a job of it as you have, Marie! Your vintage lass is so melancholy; she truly radiates "lonely"! Hugs, Terri xoxo
What a lovely vintage piece, Marie, bit worried about the 'noose' around her wrist though! Hope she meets someone 'nice' soon & sets her 'free' or maybe she's free already! (deep thinking today!)
This is truly lovely, Marie. Who'd know those pieces from the Steampunk kit could be so unpunkish, soft, and dreamy when used in this way.....only you!! You captured the melancholy of the phrase "one is the loneliest number" in such romantic fashion. Beautiful.
I can't believe it! These were the first words that popped into my head when I saw the challenge this week. My images led me in a slightly different direction, though, so I just used one word from the line. Your collage is poigniant and beautiful, Marie.
That rusty number ONE Marie !! I love it !! And your quote ! Further it seems to me that, while the clock is tikking away, that she is waiting for HER number one ! The perfect guy perhaps ? LOL ****** Brilliant piece Marie !
Wow Marie!!! Love it!!! this is very beautiful, love your take on the theme and your art work is beautiful!! Brilliant choice of images and colour and I love your composition!!
What a great idea, Marie. Your number one is fabulous!
