The galah (pronounced ga-lah with the accent on the second syllable) or pink and grey cockatoo is native to Australia and, I am pleased to say, native to my part of Australia where they gather in flocks and in profusion. They are very large birds so bear no resemblance to the small love birds or budgerigars also native to Australia.
