Theme Thursday - Vintage

I hope this qualifies as vintage. The soldier is my father and the photo was taken in 1915 before he left for three years helping to fight in a war in the Middle East. Nothing has changed it seems. Young men and women have taken his place there - ninety three years on.
My father lived to the age of 102, passing away in 1996.
Backgrounds and window Lorie Davison, pedestal stamp Katie Pertiet.

  15. What a fabulous picture and what a super vintage piece of art this is! To live through most of the 20th century must have meant he saw phenomenal changes in the way people lived. Think of all the inventions that came around during his lifetime. This is a grand tribute to your father.
