Take a Word Challenge - Hearts/Valentine

Yes, I admit it, life has taught me to be a cynic when it comes to lerve.  When I think of Valentines I want to shout "Bah Humbug" so I took a leaf out of Ebenezer Scrooge's book with this one. Painted by me in ArtRage (digital painting software).  The background is a collection of watercolour splats from Room 122 (free Photoshop brushes).

Three Muses Challenge - Stripes

Ann asked us for stripes and I probably got a bit carried away.  We have a challenging challenge at Digitalmania (Flickr) where we learn a lot of new tricks, taking inspiration from the work of artists in many different styles.  This past week it was cutting and pasting a la Carmen Casanova, a Spanish artist. I made a patchwork design and cut the lady's dress from it.  Her skin tones include a page from an old dictionary of mine.  All papers, including sky, grass and patchwork were Googled.  The trees and the bow are by Createwings Designs.  The stitching is a Photoshop brush as are the white flowers.  Cloud by me!!

Sunday Postcard Art - Coffee Time

This week the theme at Sunday Postcard Art is COFFEE TIME and I have the honour of providing the sample picture.  The labels were all Googled and the two ladies have been in my "stash" for a very long time and I'm sorry that I don't know where they came from.  Thankyou to Donna and Mandy for inviting me to host this week's challenge.

Take a Word Challenge - Wrinkles

Thanks to Yvonne for a great theme and for providing the inspiration for our wrinkly pieces.  The little bird lady has been in my folders for years. The picture was very small, unclear and black and white but I have attacked it with all manner of filters and lighting to achieve a sharper look and some golden colours.  The background is by Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics.

Three Muses Challenge - Sepia

This is a photo of my granddaughter.  It was originally a colour photo but I have had some fun tweaking it with a lot of filters and effects to achieve (I hope) a rich sepia feel.  The added timely elements are from Irene Alexeeva.
