Sunday Postcard Art - Santa Claus

In my part of the world, south-western Australia, it is summertime.  Yesterday the maximum temperature was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit, 38 degrees Celsius. Nevertheless our stores are filled with snowy scenes, Santa and his sleigh, carols with lyrics about snow and mistletoe.  I think an Australian Santa would feel more comfortable in crop top and board shorts and surfing at the beach.

This week at Take a Word the theme is CHRISTMAS GREETINGS.  My picture is an original digital painting except for the background from Creativewings Designs. Since it is summertime in Australia I have to use my imagination to create snowy scenes.  It never snows in my part of the world, even in wintertime.
