This week at the Muses the theme is EGGS.  My egg was Googled.  The face is from a Renaissance painting.  The arms and legs are from Marta van Eck and the background from Itkupilli.  Tulle skirt is by Irene Alexeeva while crown and hair were painted in ArtRage.

Digital Whisper Challenge - Sunflower

The image is Funny Girl, Fanny Brice, given a new life as a sunflower. The sunflower was Googled and some overpainting was done.  Background by Marta van Eck.

Take a Word Challenge - GREEN

As my heritage is 100% Irish, St Patrick's Day has some meaning for me and I have fond memories from my childhood when it was a very big day at the local parochial school (in Australia).  I painted the background in ArtRage and added the "grass" which is from Createwings Designs.  The shamrock trail was Googled and the father and son are from Hidden Vintage Studios while the lady on bicycle is from Itkupilli (colour altered).

Three Muses Challenge - RED/TURQUOISE

This week at the Muses, Ann has challenged us to use red and turquoise colours in our artwork. The image and background are from Itkupilli.  I have over-painted the lady's costume to brightenthe colours.  The red rose hat is from Graphics Fairy.

Digital Whisper Challenge - TEAPOT

This week at Digital Whisper the challenge theme is TEAPOT.  I digitally painted this teapot using ArtRage Software (thick oils, slightly metallic).  The background was scanned from a dictionary. (I did use a line drawing template for the shape).  ENLARGE FOR BETTER EFFECT.

This is a photo of my mother (on left) and her sister.  It was originally a pale and faded sepia picture which I have coloured, sharpened and placed on to a new background with some embellishments. The backgrounds (two blended) and lace are from Lauren Bavin.
