Although I am a fourth-generation Australian my heritage is 100% Irish so I celebrate St Patrick's Day by turning my artwork green. A lot of vegetables died in making this picture - broccoli, lettuce, a lot of cabbage, honey dew melon slices (ears), avocado bow tie, sweet corn "buttonhole" and, my piece-de-resistance, zucchini shoes.
And this glorious green piece was not easy to create, bravo!!
ReplyDeleteArcimboldo would be jealous, Marie. This is his style, but even more clever! Yes, those zucchini shoes are the icing on the cake, but it's all wondrously creative!
ReplyDeleteFabulously creative this one-love this Marie!
ReplyDeleteI love how you used the vegetables in this fantastic fun page.
ReplyDeleteGreat fun in this one, Marie. I will suggest this outfit to my vegan son.

ReplyDeleteHe's kinda cute Marie but I don't think I would want to meet up with him in a dark alley...lol Very clever take on green.

ReplyDeleteYes, it's never easy being green ..... as all those fruits and vegetables can vouch. It's whimsical, wonderful and such fun, Maire. I'm laughing out loud.
ReplyDeleteWouaouh!
ReplyDeleteHilarious clever and beautiful Marie!
Only you!
Each detail is perfect.
I especially love his eyebrows and his shoes, although his ears & eyes & hair etc... are so perfect too.
It reminds me of a modern Giuseppe Arcimboldo.
His broccoli hair and zucchini shoes are my favorites! Well, I think this whole art piece is a favorite. I'm a little late commenting, but have loved it since you first posted him. He's wonderful! :)
ReplyDeleteI really like your new decorative designs! it's so beautiful so much and good idea on site.
