This week's theme for Take a Word is Family Albums. I have used a photo of my grandparents (shown in sneak peek) and altered it more than somewhat. Photo from a family album with added grunge brushes and some overpainting.
What you've done here takes my breath away, Marie. Of course I had to go back to the sneak peek to see where you started this unbelievable recreation, and I am in awe. Not only have you tinted the piece, but you have managed to put intricate detail into their new clothes. Amazing piece of work!
Oh Marie this is so beautifully colored, a wonderful tribute to your grandparents, family albums are a good thing to have today, because many people have only digital photos on their computer. Anni
Do you ever wonder what our ancestors would have thought had they known they would live on in our artistic endeavours! This is amazing and an absolute stunner, Marie.
Gorgeous colouring and the great grandparents, Marie.

ReplyDeleteYou are a master with both color and the art of family story and heritage. An inspiration Marie!
ReplyDeleteFab makeovers, Marie, I reckon they are closet graffiti artists, too, awesome piece and so is your 'Science' one, too!
