I don't know how you achieve these gorgeous shades of what remind me of old lacquer, but I absolutely love them. And why do they always make my mouth water? :D Seriously, this deserves a standing ovation ... and so you shall have one!
Oh, she looks haunted, I hope she manages to get out soon for some fresh air. Even the colours you've used have an other-wordly feel to them. It's a great picture with an intriguing story to tell.
