The words are from a very old English Music Hall song called "Waiting at the Church" (with a sting in the tail). It gave me an idea for the "alone" theme. Background and flowers by Lauren Bavin, window by Irene Alexeeva, image from Kubivet. She was originally sitting on a beach ball and wearing a swimsuit but I have overpainted her to look like a bride and added some tulle pieces for the veil.
What a giggle, this is a wonderful image, bravo on the change of clothes. Cheers
ReplyDeleteTrust me she's better off.
ReplyDeleteThis is a hoot Marie and I have never heard those lyrics...can you believe it. Fantastic job my friend!
lol, this is fantastic, Marie!
ReplyDeleteThis is so charming!
ReplyDeleteShe's the sweetest bride and will find a much better groom. Love the soft colors and your work with bride is awesome!
ReplyDeleteAfter viewing some very poignant pieces, Marie, this has cheered me up, love it!
ReplyDeleteI wish I'd had a pound for every time I've sung that Marie! Just super wonderful!! xx
ReplyDeleteOh, perhaps she should have stayed on the beach, but then again perhaps she had a very lucky escape. Another example of your awesome painting style, Maire. You always make me think I should practice more with ArtRage. :D
ReplyDeleteI started singing this song and my husband had to come in to find out what it was all about! I haven't heard it in ages. Thank you! But your art is just so lovely...very well done bride!xx
ReplyDeleteMarie, this background is exquisite, and what you've done with Kubivet's bathing suit girl is pretty incredible....from bathing beauty to bride...what a transition! Beautiful blues, beautiful piece!
ReplyDeleteOh fab! Lol! I love the images you pulled together for this wonderful "Alone" art!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Terri

There can't be anything lonelier than being left alone at the alter. You've done an amazing job with the wedding outfit.
ReplyDeleteso sweet and funny, MArie!
ReplyDeleteYour left-in-the-lurch bride is gorgeous. It's hard to believe she was in a swimsuit. You really have such a talent at digital painting.
