Yes, I admit I have a very jaundiced view of marriage! My forlorn bride was originally a bathing beauty by Kubivet (free to use image). I have altered it by overpainting the bridal wear (tulle, courtesy of Irene Alexeeva). The stool was Googled. The lyrics are from a very old music hall song much older than I but they somehow appeal to me in a warped sort of way.
Can't help it..I had to laugh about the note he wrote in this song.
ReplyDeleteMy kind of humor sometimes LOL
Marie...you know I admire your paintingskills !! This piece is no exception. YOU ARE SO GOOD !!!!
She had a lucky escape, Marie!! Love your take on 'weddings' didn't expect anything less!!!
ReplyDeleteLOL how fantastic Bev!!! Made me laugh - as if he was ever coming!!!!! Love it!
ReplyDeleteThey are the couple from the 'American Gothic' painting by Grant Wood!! You know the one, he stands there with a pitchfork, I reversed her face for my piece, so sorry not Jennifer!
