Sunday Postcard Challenge - Squares

Thanks to Donna and Mandy for the challenge.  It gave me the chance to bring out the alphabet "stencil" that I made many moons ago.  The image (altered) is from Art Creations Friday and the background by Phuongton at SBG.

Three Muses Challenge - Oriental - Patchwork Princess

This is the picture Ozstuff built!  I found an oriental shop mannequin so I used the face.  The jacket was cut from a Googled picture of oriental fabric.  The skirt, background papers and elements are by Ztampf.  Hands by Fiddlette.

52 Starlets Challenge - Veronica Lake

I am an old movie tragic so, of course, I have seen Veronica Lake on film.  Her face was Googled and all the other bits and pieces, including the fabulous gold gown, are by Irene Alexeeva at Scraporchard.

Take a Word Challenge #38 - Flight

My oldest granddaughter had her 13th birthday in May and I made this card for her.  It fits in to this week's challenge.  The background is by Lorie Davison as are the arms and hands.  The rest was painted by me.

The Three Muses Challenge/52 Starlets Challenge - "I've been steampunked"

I chose Greta Garbo as my subject for steampunking.  She was originally a three-quarter black and white portrait.  I added colour, lengthened and overpainted her pants and found a great pair of vintage boots on Google.  The background and some bits and pieces are by Lauren Bavin and other elements by Ztampf.

Take a Word Challenge #37 - Weddings

Yes, I admit I have a very jaundiced view of marriage!  My forlorn bride was originally a bathing beauty by Kubivet (free to use image).  I have altered it by overpainting the bridal wear (tulle, courtesy of Irene Alexeeva).  The stool was Googled.  The lyrics are from a very old music hall song much older than I but they somehow appeal to me in a warped sort of way.

The Three Muses Challenge - The Roaring Twenties

My "flapper" girl was painted by me in ArtRage (digital painting software).  Note the fur coat, courtesy of ArtRage fur brushes.  Hands and background by Irene Alexeeva.  I made digital stamps/brushes from Googled sketches of twenties fashion.

Take a Word Challenge #36 - Stars and Stripes

Happy Fourth of July to all our American friends!!The face and hands of the image are from a Flickr-free-to-use photo from the late Suzee Que.  Her costume was made by me cutting shapes from background papers.  "Pleated" flag in lower right hand corner was Googled.  Background paper, frame and elements are by Ztampf and Rosey Posey both from Scrapbookgraphics.
