The Three Muses Challenge - Stars

The quote "Stardom can be a gilded slavery" is by Helen Hayes, for many years, long ago, the first lady of American theatre. She was an actress from childhood to old age and she recognised that there was a price to pay for stardom. So my star is "gilded" - her gold costume thanks to my computer software. The image is a Suzee Que at Flickr, altered and coloured. Other bits and pieces are from Rebecca McMeen and Tangie Baxter.

    This one struck a chord with me, Marie, since my children are both serious theatre actors. I enlarged it to see all of this beautiful piece, and among all the lovely bits, I was struck with how much the bottom border elements looked just like stage footlights! ~Sharon
