I had fun creating my new best friend, Queen Bee Ethel. All my own work except for the Suzee Que face (greatly altered!) and the legs by Fiddlette at Scrapartist.

Three Muses ANNIVERSARY Challenge - Cards!
There is big trouble in Cardland with the Joker invading the Queen's soiree and she is not amused.
I Googled the head of the Queen and painted in a body. I also painted the Joker. The shadowed newspaper background is by Maya at Scrapbookgraphics , the legs by Fiddlette at Scrapartist and the floating card symbols and cards by Irene Alexeeva at Scraporchard.

Mixed Media Monday - Marie Antoinette
This is obviously not Marie Antoinette but I know there are many M.A. fans out there and this is for YOU! The altered lyrics are from the song "Any Dream Will Do" from "Joseph's Technicolor Dreamcoat". The lady is a REAL hybrid.
Her face is freebie from Outsider Artists, the wig was Googled and stacked three times to achieve height, the cake is by Fiddlette at Scrapartist and the gown was painted by me.

The Three Muses Challenge - Relationships
I created two versions for this theme and couldn't decide which one to choose so include both here on my blog. In the top picture, the background paper, stairs and overlays are by Lauren Bavin of Digital Scrapbook Place. The stitched circle is by Berna Datema, SBG. The main photo in both versions is one of my mother (on the left and her sister).
In the second picture, I used background and some elements by Dawn van der Stoep (Createwings Designs). The photos are from my own family albums.

Mixed Media Monday - Child's play
I have a lot of experience at this, spending many hours with small grandchildren, helping them with their painting and drawing. Unfortunately, the pictures never change. "Grandma, I want a house and a girl and a path and flowers and birds in the sky and, oh, a sun, and a tree and, yes, balloons".
So this is my childish watercolour. 100% original Grandma Marie Moses-Ozstuffe.

Theme Thursday - Butterfly
"Poor Butterfly" is a song title but I am not sure of its origins. I Googled the wings, altered a black and white photo from Flickr-free-to-use images and used my own background which came from tweaking Photoshop Elements in an exercise where I had no idea what I was doing or where I was going and one that I will probably never be able to repeat!!

Three Muses Challenge - Legs
This picture had a life of its own. I used a face from a freebie by our lovely Ali Mayes and a body (overpainted) from a Flickr free-to-use picture and music and sheet music cover from Google. As I started to paint over the body template, beginning with the green spotted legs and then the green costume and wings, the sprite became a frog princess waiting for her prince. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!!

The Three Muses Challenge - Stars
The quote "Stardom can be a gilded slavery" is by Helen Hayes, for many years, long ago, the first lady of American theatre. She was an actress from childhood to old age and she recognised that there was a price to pay for stardom. So my star is "gilded" - her gold costume thanks to my computer software. The image is a Suzee Que at Flickr, altered and coloured. Other bits and pieces are from Rebecca McMeen and Tangie Baxter.
