Theme Thursday - Santa

This week's theme is "Santa". Christmas in Australia is vastly different to Christmas in the northern hemisphere. I have painted my own Santa (and cushion). All other bits and pieces have been Googled and altered a little.

Mixed Media Monday - The Eyes Have It

Thanks to the lovely Indybev for hosting this week's challenge! I have drawn the lady but her eyes were Googled so she is really seeing through someone else's eyes which is the theme of the quote I included. The background paper is by Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics/

ArtcreationsFriday - Tattered Dreams

Congratulations on the opening of a new and exciting challenge. Thanks so much for the beautiful image. How could one go wrong with this?

Bits and pieces by Lorie Davison, Scrapbookgraphics.

Gothic Arch - Celebrate

I wasn't sure what we are celebrating so I chose "generic". (We don't have Thanksgiving Day in Australia).

Charlie Chaplin image - Googled; window by JenU Designs; aged overlay by Manu at SBG

Sunday Postcard - The Joker

My Joker is an original except for his hands (which I do badly) from my computer software. He is a wee bit scary but I did enjoy drawing him. Guess I got a bit carried away.

The background is by Irene Alexeeva and the aged overlay by Manu at Scrapbookgraphics.

Thanks for the invitation to participate in your new challenge. I know it is going to be a winner and will fill in a void on Wednesdays. Image is from Maya collage sheet at Scrapbookgraphics, paper frame from Lorie Davison also at SBG.

Theme Thursday - The West/Cowboys

Great challenge! My take on it is a rather busy collage. Thanks to Lorie Davison at Scrapbookgraphics and Tangie Baxter for some of the bits and pieces.

TMTA - Food and Drink - Strawberries and Cream

Great challenge! It is late spring and strawberry season here in Oz so my thoughts turned to large, dark red, juicy strawberries and whipped cream.

Window by Kubivet (freebi from her Blogpost) and papers by Irene Alexeeva. Image one I have had on my computer for a very long time. I believe it was Googled.

Gothic Arches - Silhouettes

Nice challenge. I painted the background (inside template) and added a digital stamp by Katie Pertiet (Designer Digitals). The stars are by Jofia Devoe who also designed the paper background surrounding the template.

Sunday Postcard - Hats

Great challenge. For me it was a chance to use some of my own photos of flowers. I used a hat by Kubivet (freebie at Kubivet's blog) which I covered with the flower photos.

The image is from a Maya collage sheet (Scrapbookgraphics). Frame stamp by Katie Pertiet at Designer Digitals. Background paper freebie by Irene Alexeeva.

Simply Skinnies - Air Travel

Why does a skinny look wider when placed on its side? (I did make sure the canvas measued 5 x 3 inches. Thanks for the challenge, Carole. My take on it is a wee bit ancient. Girl, globe and case by Kubivet (thanks for the freebies Kubivet!). Trunk by JenU Designs. Posters, plane and map Google Images. Grunge overlay by Berna Datema at Scrapbookgraphics.

A Moo or Two - The first time

The first time I attempted to make a Moo I thought to myself "What the?" How could anyone fit all the bits and pieces into one tiny and skinny template? It is still a challenge but a very enjoyable one.

The image comes from a collage sheet by Maya at Scrapbookgraphics and the background paper is by Irene Alexeeva.
