Mixed Media Monday - One word of inspiration

Everything in life is or should be based on TRUST so that is my inspirational word.

Woman's face (altered) from Art-e-Zine, legs from Lisa Whitney. Girl's face (altered) - Outsider-Artists freebie, legs by Robyn England. Man's face (altered) and boots also by Robyn England.
Background - After Five Designs.

All painting and fashion disasters by me.

Gothic Arches - Vintage Lady

Great challenge! The image has been on my computer for a very long time and I am not sure where it came from. The curtain is by New Life Dreams and the dried roses are by Trish Jones.

Image from Stock.xchng (sorry, I have had it so long I don't have the link). The "hair" is by Christine Honsinger, T-shirt by me.

A Moo or Two - Sew

A sewing lady with ambition. Fabric "patches" from Ztampf. Image a long forgotten one I had in my folders. It was originally a black and white ink drawing which I have coloured. Thanks for the challenge.

Art Creations Friday - Circus

Thanks to the ladies at Art Creations Friday for the great image. The girl looks as if she belongs to a circus so I hope she will be happy with her new home.
Image from Art Creations, background Googled, balloon by Createwings.

Theme Thursday

This may just be the silliest hat I have ever seen (not to mention the costume). Thanks for the challenge. The image comes from a collage sheet by Maya at SBG and the background from Lorie Davison also at SBG

Artarazzi Challenge - Femmy's Picture

Thanks to Femmy for the beautiful image she has given us for this week's Artarazzi. I have attempted to create a worn picture and I have overpainted the image to add the dress. The roses are from my garden (my photo) and the worn overlays are by Manuela Zimmerman.

Mixed Media Monday - At the beach

I don't think the young lady is talking about fish! My beach postcard: background by Christine Honsinger, waves by Julie Mead, fish by Lorie Davison, image and net Googled. Postage stamp frame by Jen Ulasiewicz.

Gothic Arches - Chocolate

I think the bird is a little bit confused. Arch template by Irene Alexeeva, picture of girl and chocolate eggs Googled. The wee birdie is a handpainted one by my friend, Ruth Davis, who designs at E-scape and Scrap.

Sunday Postcard - Butterflies

Nice challenge!! Butterflies ARE free so we can go anywhere with them. The image (altered) is by Kubivet (a freebie). The wings were Googled and the background and bits and pieces are by Christine Honsinger and Sherrie JD. The quote is attributed to Charles Dickens.

Art Creations Friday - Cowgirl

I am old enough to remember the musical "Annie Get Your Gun" and the following song:

I'm quick on the trigger, with targets not much bigger
Than a pinpoint, I'm number one
But my score with a feller is lower than a cellar
Oh you can't get a man with a gun.

My collage is made up of bits and pieces, some by Lorie Davison, some collected here and there and the cowboy photo from Tangie Baxter.

Theme Thursday - Famous Faces

Thanks for the great challenge. The background is by Irene Alexeeva and the bits and pieces by Kubivet (freebies). Quote by E.B. White.

Mixed Media Monday - Mermaids

Nice challenge and a wonderful "sampler" to inspire us. My mermaid is part-Flickr-free-to-use image, part painted by me. I used another free to use image for the sea wall and overpainted that to give a more oil-painting look. The "seaweed" is by Irene Alexeeva.

Gothic Arches - Home is where

For this week's challenge, I have painted the background (and other bits and pieces), using a lot of hearts in different ways. The image of the child (altered) is from Lunagirl collage sheet.

Sunday Postcard - Pierrot

I had fun with this one - all my own work. Yes, it was painted digitally in a great software program called "ArtRage" but it still requires the necessary "artistic input" - all the lines, all the painting and blending, etc. There are no shortcuts in digital painting. The only difference is there is no mess afterwards and no brushes to clean!

Art Creations Friday - Another Time, Another Place

I decided to give the beautiful lady in Art Creations picture another "look" in another place. So I chose a different body for her, added a hat and garden.
The head is courtesy of Art Creations. The body comes from a collection of French fashion of the early 1900's by SherrieJD and the background is by Jen Ulasiewicz. A lot of chopping and changing done.

A Moo or Two - Home is where the heart is.

Nellie, from a Moo of Two, invited me to host the Moo this week. Whether it be a birdhouse or a humble cottage or a mansion, wherever the heart is, is home.
Background and "houses" and birds by Ruth Davis.
Image of child from Lisa's Altered Art.
Flowers from Alana McCarthy.

Theme Thursday - Glamour Girl

My glamour lady is in ATC form. Strange how we often think of "glamour" as being something from othe past.

The image is a Flickr free to use photo and the background is by Irene Alexeeva.
