The Three Muses Challenge - WINDOWS

This week's theme at the Three Muses is WINDOWS.  The "princess" is my own creation, her collaged gown made from background papers by Phuong Ton at SBG. The window and brickwork are by Lauren Bavin and other background material is by Phuong Ton.

Take a Word Challenge #43 - OLD-FASHIONED

This is my entry for Take a Word's challenge "Old Fashioned).  The image is a freebie from the lovely ladies of Art Creations Friday, a challenge which is sadly no longer in existence.  The backgrounds are by Lotta and SussieM.

The Three Muses Challenge - Hats

Thanks to Ann for the challenge.  The image comes from E-vint.Com collage sheets.  It has been coloured and altered.  I could only include a small number of translations for the word "hat" due to space available and languages which have different alphabets. The hat is made from my own photo of a deep red rose which I cut out and edged in gold.

Take a Word Challenge #42 - Celestial

Thanks to Deann for a great challenge.  I took a grainy black and white image from an E-Vint.com collage sheet and coloured and overpainted it.  The lamp and "hair" are by Lorie Davison.  The stars are courtesy of my software.  Painting done in ArtRage.

The Three Muses Challenge - Maps

For some reason, when I started thinking about maps, I couldn't get the old song "Is this the way to Amarillo" out of my head so then it was easy to find a map of Texas and to bring my trusty winged courier out of his mothballs.  The Sweet Marie mentioned on the envelope does not refer to me.  For those who are too young to remember the song, Sweet Marie was always waiting for him.  Sha la sha la, la la la!!

Take a Word #41 - FACES

As you can see, I have chosen two famous faces and superimposed them into two Evint.Com vintage ladies.  I used four different software programs to achieve the results.  The rose on Frida's hair is my own photo.  I cut out the flower and edged it in gold which is more obvious when enlarged.  The background is by Createwing Designs.

The Three Muses Challenge - Angelic

My "hybrid" angel was drawn by me and filled in with sheet music and some gold over-painting.  The angel crown was also drawn by me in ArtRage.  The face is a Flickr-free-to-use image and the wings and violin are by Irene Alexeeva.  Hair is a photostroke action in Microsoft Digital Image software (now sadly defunct).  Text and brushes in background by Rosey Posey at Scrapbookgraphics. (Apologies for bow being around the wrong way).

Take a Word #40 - SONG - "Vincent" (Starry, starry night)

This is my favourite song because of its beautiful lyrics - "Vincent" by Don McLean.
I painted my version of "Starry, starry night" in ArtRage and added an old cityscape by Christina Renee.
