Thanks to the lovely ladies at ACF for the beautiful, textured background. I have used it (with altered colours) for my background and I used it again to create the dress. Rose photo (altered) by me. Overlay frame, Vera Lim Designs.

Mixed Media Monday - I feel pretty
Most of us have enjoyed being able to access the beautiful images collected by the late Suzee Que at Flickr. Suzee's generosity knew no bounds. The above picture is my favourite. It is such a beautiful, perfect face. I have added colour, clothes and hairstyle. Thankyou Suzee. You will be remembered.

4 x 4 - Spring Garden
It is mid-autumn in my part of the world but, to use the words of the old song - "it might as well be spring". As soon as the first rain in months arrives, everything turns green and flowers pop up everywhere and the weather is blissfully mild.

The Three Muses Challenge - Blackbirds
First of all, I apologize to all my blog friends for not keeping up with my comments this week. My brother passed peacefully away and, as his next of kin, all the arrangements were my responsibility and it was a real eye-opener to realise just how many arrangements there are to be dealt with.
Mr E.A. Poe was known to enjoy a drink or two and he possibly visited at least one "gin joint" in his life where he may have encountered a blackbird. Well, anything's possible! Perhaps the raven quoth more than "Nevermore"! Perhaps, not having an original thought in his tiny brain, he had to borrow from the experts - in this case the screenwriters of Casablanca!! So apologies to Humphrey Bogart and the writers for shamelessly using their famous quote.
Image was Googled and altered. Background, also altered, by Irene Alexeeva.
