This week at Take a Word the challenge theme is SILHOUETTES. My silhouette was found at Graphics Fairy. I made the background from an old dictionary page, altered and tinted. The lovely flowers are from Anna Aspnes at Oscraps.
This week at the Three Muses the theme is Zetti Art. What is Zetti Art? My way of looking at it is add a crown and maybe wings and some stripes and squiggles and call it Zetti. Zetti is fun but for some reason isn't as fashionable as it used to be.
Background and black and white squiggle from Fiddlette. Googled face, altered. Body, bird and crown painted by me. Stacked hearts and heart balloons from Createwingsdesigns.
This week at the Muses the theme is PLANTS AND/OR INSECTS. I chose to feature the bee. The "Queen Bee" was made from an altered face, the body of a ballerina (overpainted in ArtRage), a bee from Graphics Fairy and the blackboard and flourishes from Fiddlette.
This week at the Three Muses the theme is BUBBLES. The image is from Wikimedia Commons. The Background is from Rosey Posey at Scrapbookgraphics, the pipe was Googled and the bubbles are "particles" from my digital software.
The French saying is easy to understand - "Life is simple but it is the world that is complicated". I painted the face and added, paper doll style, cuts of Googled papers (using my cutting tool as a pen). The background brushes are from Anna Aspnes.
This week the theme at Digital Whisper is BATH TIME. The lady is from a collection by e-vint.com (no longer selling). The backgrounds and flowers from Itkupilli and the bath and back brush were Googled.
This week at the Muses the challenge theme is EYES. I call this piece "The night has a thousand eyes". Image from Hidden Vintage Design (no longer selling), the background is from Lorie Davison and the eye was Googled.
I have chosen to create a (very) old fashioned envelope. Yes, I know Italy as a country did not exist in Roman times! Image is from e-vint.com (now defunct). The stamp image was Googled as was the texty background. The scroll upper left is from Irene Alexeeva (no longer designing). Banner Itkupilli.
This week at SPA the challenge is SHIMMER, GLIMMER AND SHINE. I have used tricks of my digital painting software to try to achieve shimmering and glimmering effects, especially the "metallic" and hopfully iridescent greens. The image is from a collection by e-vint.com (no longer in business).
