The Three Muses Challenge - HATS

This week our challenge at Three Muses is to include a hat.  This modern-day sun hat was Googled and added to an old painting (source not known).  I painted in the dress and all the polka dots and added background overlays by Rosey Posey at Scrapbookgraphics.

Take a Word Challenge - I am woman (hear me roar)

This week our theme word is WOMAN.  I chose the quote by Helen Keller as she did so much in her life in spite of being deaf and blind and without speech.  What a woman!
The image is not one of Helen Keller.  I found it on e.vint.com and chose it for its strength. Other bits and pieces are from Rosey Posey at Scrapbookgraphics.

Digital Whisper Challenge - Neon Signs (Big Night Out)

I really enjoy Patti's challenges which are always unusual and interesting.  This is how I decided to illustrate NEON.  The man's image is from Hidden Vintage Studios and everything else was Googled.

Sunday Postcard Art - Robert Burns

Thanks to Mandy and Donna for a great challenge.  It has been so good to read some of Robert Burns' poetry again and to take on board the wisdom and understanding to be found there.  His love poems are enough to make a person cry!
The image (with new body) was Googled.  The poppies are from April Rose and the background by Itkupilli.

Alice has succumbed to the "drink me" instruction and has grown to giant size.  She couldn't stand up even if she wanted to.
The background is by Itkupilli, the seat Googled and the two images are from Hidden Vintage Studios.  The "drink me" bottle is from Irene Alexeeva.

Digital Whisper Challenge - Sea Life

This week at Digital Whisper the challenge is SEA LIFE.  I have lived close to the sea (walking distance) for many years.  This is sunset at Cottesloe Beach on the south-west coast of Australia, close to my home.  The lady is from another era but she looks at home.

The Three Muses Challenge - Inspirational Artists

I love paintings from the Renaissance period.  The portraits are stunning.  I have chosen a Botticelli to collage.  The image is altered with backgrounds and pen and ink by Lorie Davison (SBG).  The checkered edging is from a background by Irene Alexeeva and the old music manuscript was Googled.  A photoshop brush of the geometric pattern finished the collage.
