Three Muses Challenge - The stuff of nightmares.

Halloween has never been a big thing in Australia.  In fact, it was not until very recent years that stores began to stock costumes and other bits and pieces. It's all a bit foreign to me so my picture is about the stuff of nightmares.
I found the image (a romantic era portrait, artist unknown) on Google along with the skeleton and the gravestone.  A few filters have been used to achieve a grungy, vintage look.

  1. Brrrrr... Really accomplished Mary!
I hope you haven't nightmares too often dear friend! Well done! Brrrr... I'm admirative of what you've done there!

  2. Spooooooooooky!!!
    Love the darkness!!

  3. Here in the Netherlands Halloween is not a big thing either. But I hope we will make it a little bit more known...haha!
I love the card,it's spooky and the pictures are beautiful.

  4. This is just too cool Marie...I love, love, love it! I'm truly sorry you missed out on Halloween I know it would be right down your alley and you would make it so much fun!

  5. Oh my, maybe a few years of psychoanalysis could help a poor soul to get rid of the nightmares... Never mind, this has the right dose of fun, romanticism and Hammer horror.

  6. Don't know who his friend is,Marie, but he could do with a good meal of roast beef and Yorkshire puddings. Nope, Halloween is not a big thing here either ... though the shops keep on trying to sell it to us!

  7. In germany Halloween is not a big thing
either, but I love the handmade or virtuell spooky art works. Also yours is a magnificent realization of the creepy them, love the composition.
    Hugs Anja
