Take a Word - Music

Greetings to all our American friends who will be celebrating their big day this week.  One of my favourite old movies is "Yankee Doodle Dandy" - corny yes but very entertaining with a long list of catchy songs, one of which is "You're a Grand Old Flag" (by George M. Cohan).
The sheet music of the song and the flags were Googled.  George Washington and small girl images, ribbon and basket of cherries from SherrieJD.  A sepia photo of Maude Fealy has been coloured and altered a little.
HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!

  11. The use of sepia, is a masterstroke here, Marie. It actually makes the red, white and blue 'pop'.

A perfect tribute for the American Independence Day celebrations.
