Take a Word Challenge #26 - MEMORIES

Poor Monique - she left her home and family to pursue a life on the stage and she was left with only memories.  The main image (coloured to within an inch of its life from the original sepia) is from the late Suzee Que at Flickr.  The man and boy are from DeadFred at Flickr and the small girl is from Outsider Artists.  All freebies.  The aged look overlay is by Manuela Zimmerman at Scrapbookgraphics.

The Three Muses Challenge - Mail Art

I chose to design an art envelope for my sample picture.  The image of the lady is from Wikimedia Commons (copyright free).  The balloons are from Createwing Designs and the background and leaves from After Five Designs.  The old Australian stamp was Googled.  Two shillings and sixpence!!  We have had decimal currency for almost 50 years.  Apologies to my English friends for playing around with place names and addresses.  I never cease to be fascinated with the quaint names of villages and towns in the UK.

Sunday Postcard Art - Song Title - AM I BLUE?

The image used is from the late Suzee Que at Flickr (coloured).  The background and blue overlay is by me.  Digital stamps by Vera Lim.
This is a very old song originally sung (I believe) by the great Billie Holliday, later by Ella Fitzgerald and kept alive by Bette Midler and even Cher.  I think there must be hundreds of versions of it.

The Three Muses Challenge - LOCK AND KEY

The image, altered, is a Flickr-free-to use.  Fence and keys Lorie Davison SBG.  Splodges of paint my own.  Thanks to Bev for the thoughtful theme.

Glenys (Fibre Arts Collage) has asked me to post a link to her entry for this week's Muses challenge as she is away at a fibre arts conference.  You can find it HERE

Take a Word #24 - Lace

I think I went a bit mad with lace.  The beautiful face is a Flickr-free-to-use by the late and sadly missed Suzee Que.  All lace is from Jenu Designs, blue flowers by Lauren Bavin.

Take a Word Challenge #23 - Umbrella

Unfortunately, in my part of the world, umbrellas are seldom required.  Our weather patterns are breaking records in every direction - hottest summer on record, hottest first month of autumn, driest winter and so on.  My take on umbrellas is a little bit sombre.
The wonderful image of a farmer from another time is from Wikimedia Commons (copyright free).  The news clip is from a free newspaper headline generator (recoloured).  Other bits and pieces from Createwings Designs and Catherine Designs, both at After Five Designs.
Please accept my apologies for not keeping up with my comments recently.  I have been very busy helping two daughters and their children due to illnesses (none serious - just inconvenient).  Hopefully things will be back to normal very soon.
