The quote "Stardom can be a gilded slavery" is by Helen Hayes, for many years, long ago, the first lady of American theatre. She was an actress from childhood to old age and she recognised that there was a price to pay for stardom. So my star is "gilded" - her gold costume thanks to my computer software.
