Theme Thursday - Flowers

Enlarge to see her lovely gold wings and outdated tattoo on her legs.
Thanks to Kelly for a nice challenge. To those of you who are waiting impatiently for the first signs of spring, we, in the Southern Hemisphere, are hanging out for autumn which is almost like a second spring to us. All plant life gets a real hammering during the long hot summer but, in autumn, when we might get a few showers and it is much cooler, the garden greens up, the roses especially flower profusely and all is well with the world.
The face is from a Suzee Que Flickr-free-to-use page. The body is by Irene Alexeeva at Scraporchard. The sunflower was Googled. Other bits and pieces from Weeds and Wildflowers.

  25. Marie, I LOVE your yellow flowers and the sunflower girl! We are living under 2-3 feet of snow here, and it seems almost impossible that there will ever be spring or summer again. Thank you for giving me hope with your lovely collage!
