The Three Muses Challenge - Zlightly Zetti

I don't know a lot about Zetti but I had fun with this.

The beautiful face (slightly altered) comes from a lovely freebie at http://www.flickr.com/groups/collageimages/ submitted by Ali Mayes.
The body (greatly altered) comes from the same website and is part of an image from Suzee Que. The blue "romper suit" and legs were painted by me. The border is by Maya of SBG, the background by Lorie Davison also of SBG. Wings, hat and swirl are by Irene Alexeeva, Scraporchard. The floor is by Madame Mim at Catscrap and the stool was Googled.

Sunday Postcard - Striped Legs

I had some fun with this one. The image (outrageously altered) is from Suzee Que at Flickr free-to-use images. The butterfly was Googled.

I painted her in ArtRage using metallic paints (digital). She is wearing hot pants and striped tights. The song .... well, I kinda stole that from an oldie "It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing (Doo-ah, doo-ah etc etc)". This was a song made famous by the late and very great Ella Fitzgerald.

Thanks to the ladies at Sunday Postcards for a fun challenge.

Art Creations Friday - Small Girl (with cat!)

Thanks to the ladies at ACF for the challenge and Lisa's Art for the beautiful image. I think I have transformed the small girl into a "Zetti in training"! The overpainting of dress and legs was done in ArtRage and Corel Painter Essentials.

The Three Muses Challenge - Windows

There is a story to my collage. Florence floats, lost in time, reminiscing on a life where the choices she made were not always the right ones.
Image from Suzee Que (Flickr Free), Theatre overlay - Lorie Davison, Scrapbookgraphics. Assorted elements from Oscraps Charmes, Irene Alexeeva at Scraporchard, JenU at SBG, Linda Gil Bilal at Scrapartist and Tangie Baxter/SherriJD.

Sunday Postcard - Mr (W)right

This is a true story. Well, tru-ish. Well, it could have been true IF .......

When I saw the challenge for this week I thought to myself "Wow! We are featuring my neighbour Mr Wright". I immediately called over the fence to ask if he would pose for me. This was not a difficult task for Mr Wright as "motionless" is his game, if it comes with a comfortable hammock and a few cans of ale.

I was proud of my effort UNTIL I re-read the challenge theme and saw that I should have been featuring "Mr Right"!! This is where I came unstuck. The idea of a Mr Right is quite foreign to me as the only Mister in my life has been Mr Wrong. Ah well, out came my trusty red marker and I deleted the "W" and Mr Wright became Mr Right.

All artwork except background is an Ozstuffe Originale. Background by Fiddlette.

Mixed Media Monday - Favourite Time of Day

My favourite time of day at this time of year (spring in Australia) is early morning when everything is damp and green and the flowering fruit trees are bursting forth. I have used a photo of my two-year-old granddaughter, taken early one morning last week. It is much altered to give it a "painterly" effect. An impressionist process heightens the colour and adds tiny paint strokes. The clockworks and face are by Jenu Designs.

Sunday Postcard - School

A vintage school teacher and pupil. The teacher came in head form only so I cut a body out of a background paper and added some lace, a hand and a bunch of roses.
Frame - Christina Renee Designs, woman's face - free to use image from Suzee Que, dress made from a background paper by Irene Alexeeva and lace by Jenu Designs, Roses - Trish Jones, girl a freebie from Art Creations Friday, background - Catherine Designs, hand - Tangie Baxter.

Art Creations Friday - Who will buy

Thanks for the beautiful image, ladies of ACF! I have recoloured and slightly altered the image. The little girl has such a worried look on her face I think she needs to sell her flowers and there are no buyers. The background paper is by Joanne Brisbois of Oscraps. The digital stamp is by Katie Pertiet, Designer Digitals.

Thank God it's Friday - Funny Animals

I had fun with this one. I started with a photo of a koala (which is not a bear but a marsupial) and built up a new persona. Background Catherine Designs, other bits and pieces by Tangie Baxter and SherrieJD collab. Balloon cut from skirt and plasticized. The words "how much can a koala bear" is a very old and used pun.

Theme Thursday - Halloween

Watch a fashion show and see the set, almost angry faces of the models! The face I have chosen has "the look" so it took me to the catwalk.

Face from Suzee Que (Flickr); hat and body by Irene Alexeeva (altered); legs and cat by Lisa Whitney; background by Madame Mim and bats by Ztampf.
