Art Creations Friday - Early Happy July 4

Thanks to the lovely ladies at Art Creations Friday for the most beautiful image. As I have made many American friends through blogging and exchanging ideas on art of all kinds, I am making this a tribute to them - if a little early. The Three Muses - Wild Things

Once again I am forced to reveal one of the many faces of my great-uncle (by marriage) who followed many career paths, one of which was (allegedly) a strong man/lion tamer. I don't believe that Uncle always told the truth. His lion appears to be of the stuffed variety.
Head of uncle, Googled body coloured and puffed out a little, lion also Googled.

Sunday Postcard - Fathers

It is Father's Day in some parts of the world this Sunday. Spare a thought for those men who never became fathers. This is my tribute to my great-uncle (by marriage). What he lacked in macho he made up for in pizzazz. Good old Unc, what would I do without him? I wonder if he is turning over in his grave. I think this is number eight in the series I am designing around him.

All my own work. Photo from family album. Background and clothes painted in digital painting software - ArtRage - where bling is king.

There's a brand new blog. It's The Three Muses where each Wednesday Taluula, Indybev or Ozstuff will be challenging you to create something inspired and interesting.

We know that each of you will have a preferred artistic medium so whether you like to work with paper or paint, fabric or digital, we'd love you to join in. After all, part of the fun is to see diverse interpretations on a theme.
You can find us here at The Three Muses.
